With a population of about 100,000 inhabitants, the city ranks as the sixth-largest in the Czech Republic. It is the largest group of Baroque statues within a single sculptural monument in Central Europe. The so-called \u201eThree-nave hall\u201c(Trojlod\u00ed) and the cabinets on the first floor serve to hold temporary exhibitions of Czech and international art. Part of the project of the Prague architectural office H\u0160H architekti was, besides building offices, depositories, a photo studio and a refinishing workshop, the reconstruction of the building of the capitular deanery and its functional link to the Romanesque episcopal palace. The third, the southern tower standing 100.65 meters high, is the tallest church tower in Moravia (and the second-highest in the country). The three-naved hall of the church comes from the original medieval layout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justify-text has-text-color\" style=\"color:#5d5e60\">Under the presbytery, there is a crypt accessible by two side staircases. On the south side of the church, there is an entrance to the Mannerist St Stanislaus&#8217; Chapel. Tombstones from the 16th and 17th centuries are situated on each side of this entrance. The first Olomouc public park, the&nbsp;Rudolph alley, founded by the Archbishop of Olomouc, was a popular place for outings of the Olomouc population as early as the 1820s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justify-text has-text-color\" style=\"color:#5d5e60\">Today Olomouc boasts three large parks covering more than 47 hectares \u2013&nbsp;Smetana Park,&nbsp;\u010cech Park&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bezru\u010d Park. Worth visiting are the botanical&nbsp;collection greenhouses&nbsp;\u2013 the Palm-, the Cactus-, the Tropical- and the Subtropical greenhouses with a unique collection of plants and trees. Adjoining the church building, there are side wings with an attic carrying statues of 12 apostles and two saints &#8211; Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch. Behind the church, there are a cloister and the Chapel of the Virgin Mary. The ceiling of the single-naved interior is vaulted over by a massive dome.
